About
I came to yoga through a 300-hour teacher training in Thailand, studying under a guru with deep roots in India's ashram tradition. My practice is grounded in classical Hatha yoga — an emphasis on breath, alignment, and the understanding that asana is one thread in a much larger tapestry.
The name Black Wing comes from a raven that appeared during a difficult stretch in my training, perching nearby through an entire outdoor class. I took it as a sign to keep going. The practice I teach carries that same spirit — showing up, staying present, and trusting the process.
I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin, and I'm especially drawn to bringing yoga into spaces where it isn't typically found — offices, events, and communities that could benefit from the practice but haven't had easy access to it.
Yoga is not about touching your toes. It's about what you learn on the way down.
